Daniel On The Issues

In every community throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta Region, there are thousands of qualified voters who are not registered to vote.

Some believe their vote doesn't matter, some have been actively disenfranchised, and some have been overlooked or excluded by a broken system that has lost touch with the concerns of its citizens.

Jeanelle and I entered this race because we believe there's a chance to change that.

From the start, our goal has been to reach out to people of all races, ages, and backgrounds with the hope of bringing them back into the political process. We must use the rare opportunity we have right now to bring people together and make this a better state for all Georgians.

As your newly elected Georgia State Representative, I pledge to:

Tackle the Tough Economic Issues

  • Stem the Tide of Record Foreclosures – I will be a determined advocate on behalf of Georgia's most vulnerable homeowners. No stone will be left unturned in pursuing equitable concessions from financial instituions and preserving the sanctity of the home.
  • Keep Jobs in Georgia - I will sponsor legislation and design initiatives to maintain industry in Georgia. Knowing how vital full employment is to the individual, families and to the State's economy, my goal is to keep Georgians working.
  • Provide Better Opportunities - I will support legislation at the Capitol to improve our families, our schools, our neighborhoods and our local businesses.

Be A Strong, Compassionate Voice for Georgia's Families

  • Improve Education in Georgia - I will work to give all Georgia's children a better chance in life by strengthening our educational system. Focus on standardizing successful programs and better allocation of financial resources will bring the results our youth deserve.
  • Guarantee Access to Quality Healthcare - I will fight to keep Grady Hospital open and to preserve all Georgian's right to the State's various healthcare programs. All life has value and I intend to see cared for wherever there is a need. Additionally, I believe that all of Georgia’s children should have access to PeachCare, which Provides health care coverage for uninsured children. I will fight to stop our children in need and their families from losing PeachCare unnecessarily.
  • Make Our Communities Safe - I will cooperate and support local law enforcement in their efforts to keep you and your family safe from crime. My aim is target any additional resources that the State can provide toward our most vulnerable communities.

Protect and Preserve Our Precious Environment

Keep Landfills Out of Our Neighborhoods - I will put up a line of defense around our community in the battle against dangerous waste. You deserve to live in an area that is environmentally safe for you and your loved ones.

Clean up the Community - I will aid in the restoration of pride and dignity to our neighborhood. A wealth of resources are available for their improvement and I will see that they are used for your benefit
